Longhua District is located at the geographical center of Shenzhen and on the urban development axis, adjacent to six districts and one city. Longhua District borders Dongguan and Guangming New District to its north, Longgang to its east, Futian, Luohu, and Nanshan to its south, as well as Baoan to its west. On September 20, 2016, the State Council of People’s Republic of China approved the establishment of the Longhua District, Shenzhen. On January 7, 2017, Longhua District was formally established. The jurisdiction of Longhua District covers 175.58 square kilometers. It has six sub-districts (Guanhu, Minzhi, Longhua, Dalang, Fucheng, Guanlan), 50 community workstations and 108 community residents’ committees. There are 1.5115 million permanent residents, among which 255 thousands residents were registered permanent residents. Longhua District managed 2.892 million people in total.
Regional Transportation. Longhua District is located at the center of Shenzhen Municipality geographically and the development axis. Shenzhen North Railway Station is the largest gigantic comprehensive transportation hub in the Southern China area. It is. In the future, it is developing into a modern urban transportation system including five high-speed rail line, seven metros, Shenzhen-Huizhou intern-city roads, modern tram network, and Nine Horizontal and Seven Vertical main road system.
Economic industry. Longhua District is a major industrial district in Shenzhen Municipality. The ratio of these three industries is 0.01: 55.48: 44.51, with electronic information industry taking up 69% of the total output. It creates a development structure with industry as leading factor, electronic information industry as the pillar industry, and export-oriented economy as its significant feature. 325 enterprises have production value of more than 100 millions, 27 with more than one billion yuan, and 3 with more than 10 billion. 40 enterprises could contribute over 100 million yuan for taxes, and 4 enterprises could contribute over 1 billion yuan. There are 1188 national high-tech enterprises, 17 publicly listed companies, 77 new-three board. Longhua District introduced 12 startups and 351 municipal level talents.
Longhua District has a complete industrial chain, covering clothing, food, housing, transportation, and so on. The Longhua District has a series of brand enterprises including Foxconn Technology Group, Changan PSA Automobiles Co., Ltd., Auratic Porcelain and Mission Hills Golf Club. In addition, it also has an array of high-technology enterprises including Sanjiu Medical Pharmaceutical CO., LTD., Infinova Group, and Winner Medical Group Co., Ltd. Furthermore, Longhua District has a number of high-end industrial park, including Dalang Fashion Creative City, Baoneng Science and Technology Park, and GS Park. There is a number of commercial complexes, including 9 Square, Galaxy COCOCITY, Guanlan Business Center.
Urban construction. Longhua District has formed a number of key development area, in accordance with ideas of groups clustering, complementary functions, dislocation development. Longhua District would focus on the six key areas of development in full swing, which will be around 50 square kilometers and with an annual output value of 320 billion yuan. North Rail Station Business Center Area: 6.1 square kilometers, 9.5 million square meters for construction, focusing on strengthening the headquarters economy, international business, financial services and other core functions, to create an "international living room”. Heron Lake Science and Technology Area: an area of 2.33 square kilometers, highlighting the urban function of science and technology cultural services, so as to create a regional science and technology and cultural center for the northern part of Shenzhen and its surrounding area. Dalang Fashion Innovative District: an area of 7.55 square kilometers, highlighting fashion features, to create a town that sets the trend of fashion in China. Mission Hills Ecological Culture Area: an area of about 8.4 square kilometers, taking advantage of Mission Hills Golf, print-making base, ancient legacies and other ecological and cultural resources, to create a cultural town with international impact.
Ecologic Environment. Longhua District is close to mountain and lake, and has a beautiful nature environment. It has a variety of ecological tourism resources, including Mission Hills Golf Club, Yangtai Mountain Forest Park and so on. Guanlan River is the only ecological scenery river that crosses the main urban area in Shenzhen. Longhua District now has 114 parks, 202 kilometers of green trails. In the future, Longhua District is planning to create a 135 kilometer green trail surrounding Longhua, and a trail around Guanlan River, which is the longest river in Shenzhen. In this way, Longhua District would create a “Garden City” in full wings.
Public Affairs. Education: Longhua District has 64 primary schools with 7184 teachers, including 33 public schools and 31 private schools, which provide 139 thousands school seats. Longhua District has 177 kindergartens, with 64 thousands school seats and 4071 teachers. Shenzhen Foreign Language School, Shenzhen Senior High School and other prestigious schools are going to settle down in Longhua District. Thus, it is going to reach a breakthrough of zero in professional school, specialty school and colleges. Health: Longhua District now has 437 medical and health institutions of all kinds, including three comprehensive public hospitals, four public health centers, 57 community centers, and 373 private medical institutes. It has 6509 health personnel and 2989 sick beds. Longhua is going to construct Shenzhen Municipal Xinhua Hospital, the Shenzhen Municipal Second Children's Hospital, Longhua District General Hospital, Longhua District Maternal and Child Healthcare Center and a number of high-quality medical and health institutions. Housing: it completed constructing 31,000 units of affordable housing units, accounting for one-fifth of Shenzhen. By 2021, the construction of affordable housing and housing for talents would be no less than 30,000 units; the supply would be no less than 26,000 units. It would speed up the construction of 15 district-level sports and culture projects, and strive to reach a per capita cultural and sports facilities area of 1.5 square meters.
